      The problems with the encode are because of the source (which I guess are the J-DVDs) or your encoder fucked up xD? Because in almost every scene change you see either this: http://puu.sh/iGtdK/55f089a673.png or this: http://puu.sh/iGtOP/2f76ed27a6.png

      That makes it a little uncomfortable to watch.

      Yes, they are a part of the Japanese DVD source (which is a shitty composite LD transfer). What's more sadistic is the fact that a lot of those scene changes are full motion, so cropping it would be especially obvious.
